Description
Castrol Ilocut 534 is a low viscosity, highly refined mineral oil containing active sulphur, chlorine and other load-bearing extreme pressure additives so as to prolong tool life, give good surface finish, reduce foaming and increased efficiency.

The need for very high performance cutting oil is indicated by operating conditions in which the boring head may be buried in the workpiece for very long periods and be required to give continuous, accurate cutting with no opportunity to check results while the cutting action is in progress.

As the cutting oil has to be fed through the bar itself, Castrol Ilocut 534 is manufactured to a low viscosity so as to give rapid flushing action to clear swarf from the boring head. It also gives reliable service on specialist machine tools where oil delivery pressures can be boosted without any risk of foaming.

Recomended Applications
Castrol Ilocut 534 is a special cutting oil manufactured to meet the exacting requirements found in deep hole boring, trepanning, drilling and gear cutting operations. It can also be used for tapping, threading and other heavy operations on automatic lathes.
Castrol Ilocut 534 contains elemental sulphur in the active form. It is particularly suited to cut all steels including heat resisting and stainless. It is not recommended for cuprous materials.
